Wat zijn voertuigschakelaars?
Bij schakelaars in motorvoertuigen worden elektrische verbindingen tot stand gebracht of verbroken tussen de stroombron van het elektrische systeem van het voertuig en verbruikers in het voertuig. Deze schakelaars nemen een permanente schakeltoestand aan tot het volgende schakelproces. De spanningvoerende feitelijke schakelcontacten zijn veilig gescheiden van de oppervlakkige bedieningselementen en de voertuigaarde.
Schakelaars worden in voertuigen gebruikt voor een groot aantal schakeltaken, in een grote verscheidenheid aan ontwerpen en toepassingen voor veiligheid en gemak.
Het schakelproces zelf kan worden geactiveerd door de bestuurder van het voertuig of andere inzittenden, dus door mensenhanden, maar ook door mechanische oplossingen zoals contacten op motorkappen en deuren.
Op welke toepassingsgebieden vallen autoschakelaars in het Conrad-assortiment?
Veel soorten schakelaars zijn zo ontworpen voor gebruik in motorvoertuigen dat ze kunnen voldoen aan de sterke mechanische en thermische eisen zoals trillingen en hitte in het voertuig. De bruikbaarheid onder bepaalde thermische omstandigheden staat vermeld in het datablad en kan variëren van -40 tot +85 graden Celsius. Speciale modellen voldoen aan de eisen van zeer ruw gebruik, bijvoorbeeld in landbouw- en bouwmachines, maar ook in boten en vrijetijdsvoertuigen. Bovendien worden voertuigschakelaars gebruikt om individuele assemblages op voertuigen achteraf aan te brengen, zoals mistlichten en zoeklichten, zwaailichten en verlichte waarschuwingsborden. Het huidige draagvermogen van de motorvoertuigschakelaars is relatief hoog en reikt tot 200 ampère.
Sommige schakelaarmodellen zijn voor speciale beperkte doeleinden voorzien van bedrukte motieven. Dit omvat voertuigspecifieke symbolen zoals batterij-, motorstart-, raam-, lamp- en koplampsymbolen en het woord Uit / Aan.
75 procent van de autoschakelaars is verlicht. Afhankelijk van de toepassingsomgeving wordt verlichting ofwel als vlak, als punt of als symbool of met leds uitgevoerd. Sommige schakelaars hebben extra functies, zoals vergrendelingen, om te voorkomen dat ze per ongeluk worden bediend.

Auto batterij schakelaar
Ontworpen voor het schakelen van bijzonder hoge stroombelastingen van de boordaccu naar het elektrische systeem van het voertuig. In sommige gevallen zijn meertraps schakelhandelingen mogelijk en kan het eigenlijke bedieningselement worden verwijderd.

Welke veiligheidsinstructies moeten in acht worden genomen?
- Onderhoudswerkzaamheden aan de voertuigelektronica mogen alleen door geschoold vakpersoneel worden uitgevoerd. Mogelijk moet voor aanvullende opleiding van het onderhoudspersoneel worden gezorgd.
- Onjuiste reparaties aan voertuigschakelaars kunnen aanzienlijke gevaren opleveren voor de reparateur en de gebruiker. Bovendien kunnen garantieclaims onder bepaalde omstandigheden komen te vervallen.
